Download this guide to learn more about Courtney Callahan Paper and the custom wedding invitation process. Plus, you can utilize the Wedding Paper Checklist to keep yourself organized throughout the planning process.
Step 1: Consultation
Designing your custom invitation suite will begin with a face-to-face meeting (if you live in Chicago or St. Louis) or phone call to get started on the process. At this time, I will want to know all of the details of your big day – the venue, colors, flowers – and your overall vision. I’ll show you fonts, colors and paper types and get all the pertinent information to start your design and provide you with a detailed quote.
*Due to the detailed nature of custom wedding invitations, please contact me at least 6 months before your wedding date.
Step 2: Quote
Courtney Callahan will provide you with a detailed quote of your Save the Date, wedding invitation and wedding day details.
Step 3: Deposit
Once you have chosen an invitation suite option based on the quote, 50% of the total cost and a signed contract is due in order for CCP to start design work. Payment may be sent via check (preferred) or Pay Pal.
Step 4: Designs
3 weeks after the deposit is received, you will receive your first round of designs and a quote for your invitation suite via PDF.
Step 5: Revisions
Via email, please provide Courtney Callahan with any edits to the designs that you would like to see and we’ll get to work refining the pieces. We’ll exchange emails or calls back and forth until the designs are perfect!
Step 6: Final Proof, Contract and Payment
CCP will send you a final proof for you to review, sign off on and then collect the remaining 50% (Illinois sales tax will be applied to orders within Illinois.). Payment may be sent via check (preferred) or Pay Pal.
Step 7: Order Production
Final invitations take 8 weeks to be delivered depending on the complexity of the order. Invitations should be mailed to your guests 8 to 10 weeks prior to your wedding.
